Somerset Hills Montessori School is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aftercare Teacher to join our team and help create a warm, safe, and joyful afternoon experience for our preschool children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for preschool children during aftercare hours.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment.
- Support children during free-choice activities, outdoor play, art, books, puzzles, and other age-appropriate activities.
- Encourage independence, kindness, cooperation, and positive social interactions.
- Assist children with snack time, bathroom routines, and cleanup as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and play area.
- Communicate respectfully with children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood children preferred.
- A warm, patient, and positive attitude.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work well with a team.
- Ability to create a calm and engaging environment for young children.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
Schedule
Part-time, afternoon aftercare hours.
